Jaipur: To enhance the door-to-door garbage collection system, Cabinet Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore on Tuesday launched a detailed route map for 15 E-Hoopers to serve the Jhotwara Ward No. 26, under Jaipur Municipal Corporation’s sanitation drive, ensuring prompt waste collection and a greener, cleaner locality.
Under this plan, Ward 26 has been divided into several zones of operation. E-Hoopers have been allotted specific routes to collect waste from various residential colonies, markets, and internal streets of the ward in a systematized manner. People can check the specific day and the particular E-Hooper vehicle that will be coming to their street.
What are the E-Hoopers?
E-Hoopers are zero-emission electric battery-operated vehicles to collect household waste across the city. These modern, eco-friendly machines help the administration tackle the mammoth challenge of disposing off waste from small, narrow lanes, where conventionally operating big trolleys cannot enter with ease. A total of 15 E-Hoopers have been deployed in Ward 26.
15 Routes have been launched for Ward 26
Informing through Twitter, Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore said, “Under the sanitation campaign for #JDA area, a route map for 15 E-Hoopers has been launched to enhance door-to-door collection of garbage in the area of ward no. 26 and all the localities and roads in the ward are covered under the routes prescribed.” He added a map along with this Tweet showing details of the lanes and areas, along with the E-Hooper number that will visit each.
A separate route map has been provided by government authorities.
Citizens should put wet and dry waste separately outside their homes; this will ease up recycling.
Focus on making Jhotwara clean and smart.
This route has been provided in an integrated manner to make Ward 26 an advanced ward for city sanitation. Ward 26 is one of the few wards in the city and country to have such an initiative, making the city’s sanitation smart and integrated under Smart City guidelines and plans.
It will also play an important role in preventing fuel expenses, reducing overall cost, and environmental pollution.

Sewerage line renewal of city and in Ward 26, worth Rs 78.08 crore have been implemented to replace dilapidated old sewerage system by AMRUT 2.0 scheme of central government which has not been replaced for the last thirty year will be strengthened after its replacement. AMRUT 2.0 schemes were meant for sewerage and other urban developments. The state’s total capital expenditure has seen an exponential rise recently, crossing last year’s budget for infrastructure augmentation projects and upgrades through the utilization of the state’s loan funds.

Public Participation Remains Very Critical
It requires collective effort from people of Ward 26 to make this new approach successful. Segregation of household waste and providing waste only at specified times with properly packed material will definitely create an impact on the whole initiative. All 15 E-Hoopers, provided to the corporation at the beginning of the month of April, have made a route chart for each of the 15 major internal areas where they will be serving. This list is available for local citizens through the government portal and social media feeds of the authority concerned.

1. Visit the government website or social media page related to the Jaipur Municipal Corporation sanitation department.
2. Find the route map document, usually presented in a table format, which lists the specific E-Hooper vehicle numbers along with the respective localities, street names, and designated collection days.
3. Locate the name of your street and colony to find out which E-Hooper number will serve your area.
These e-hoppers will carry all the dry and wet waste collected by a team of garbage collectors under the supervision of the municipal officials or supervisor, each covering one specified area or street every day in that ward to ensure there is no accumulation of solid waste and all of the households are served by these new vehicles.
